This mother barn swallow has found a safe place to leave her chick while she searches for insects. When I was a child, the barn swallows would line up by the dozens on the power lines around the barn. There has been a dramatic population drop since then (there are many reasons for this) but recently, we've seen a little increase. Go swallows!
Each framed, limited edition is numbered (minis excepted) and signed by hand from a series of 250 and is beautifully crisp, vibrant and clear. Inks are archival quality, with superior durability and light resistance. The gallery-style frame is made of basswood and is stained in your choice of colour: walnut, ebony or driftwood. The natural grain of the basswood comes through beautifully with these stains. On a wall, they have a lovely, yet unassuming presence that complements the subtlety of the original watercolour.
